Welcome to Bainbridge Infant School and Askrigg Junior School. Together, we form the federation of Yoredale Schools, providing an education for children living in communities throughout the beautiful area of Wensleydale.
We are incredibly lucky to live in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and this gives us access to some wonderful outdoor opportunities with which to enhance the academic curriculum offer for our pupils. We are very lucky to be able to work closely with the local community organisations such as the National Park's education service, community police and fire services and the Dales Countryside Museum. Of course, we also benefit from very close links with our local churches, St Oswald's in Askrigg and St Andrew's in Aysgarth.
In addition to this, we always aim to broaden the horizons of our pupils in other ways with visits to contrasting locations. We want them to feel confident to spread their wings in the future, knowing that the world extends far beyond the beautiful hills of our own beloved Dales.
We aim for all our families to feel a valued part of our school community, just as our schools are a valued aspect of the wider community of Wensleydale.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss any aspect of school life, please do get in touch.
I look forward to working with you.
